I don't tend to enter competitions.
However, in 2015 I gained the title of NPIA Police Photographer of the Year (a national competition open to practitioners within the Policing field).
In 2011 my picture of Orchids on Bromyard Downs was awarded runner-up in the Wildflower Landscape section of International Garden Photographer of the Year. Since then, a number of my submissions have achieved Highly Commended and Commended recognition in this prestigious international competition.
In 2025 my picture of the Aurora Borealis at Carreg Samson was shortlisted in Astronomy Photographer of the Year, one of only140 out of almost 6,000 entries.
My pictures have been published widely in magazines and journals.
